David uses analogue and digital photography to explore ideas about landscape and the environment. His work can loosely be divided into observational photography or ‘quiet photography’, and work with a more conceptual approach via abstraction, collage and the constructed image.
David’s recent work as well as referencing his own roots, documents the evolving landscapes of South Wales. He likes to follow a ‘less is more’ approach that hints at human activity, and to mix black and white with colour, analogue with digital and to experiment with collage and printing techniques.
In 2025 David became a member of the Welsh Group artist collective.
